Letterbook Spencer's Journal 1866-1868. Microfilm copies of: (i) Business letterbook of A.A Dangar, 1878-96 (M37); (ii) A short account of Thomas Spencer's trip to Australia, January 1866 - July 1868. (M38) Albert Augustus Dangar (1840-1913) was born at 'Neotsfield' near Singleton, NSW, the fourth son of Henry Dangar, surveyor and pastoralist. As a boy he spent three years at sea; but in 1858 was placed at 'Gostwyck' station, Uralla where he studied stock-breeding. In 1863, he took over the management of 'Gostwyck' and other Dangar properties. A.A. Dangar was uniformly successful both as a stockbreeder and as a businessman. He died at Baroona near Singleton, on 5 April 1913.
