Mayne, Thomas Kenneth Bartle (1852 - 1894)

Born: 1852  Bath, England.  Died: 3 February 1894  Inverell, New South Wales, Australia.

In 1854 Thomas arrived in South Australia with his parents and upon his father's death moved to Sydney with his mother, being educated at Sydney Grammar School. He entered into his articles with Mr J Leary, the then Minister of Justice, first practising in Dubbo then in 1877 settling in Inverell.

In 1879 he was elected as an alderman and attained the office of mayor of Inverell. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and held many public offices including that of Justice of the Peace. He was married with three children.
