Quirk, John

Born: Isle of Man.  Died: Tumbulgum, New South Wales, Australia.

John Quirk (said to be the first butcher on the Tweed) was born on the Isle of Man. After coming to New South Wales, he tried tobacco growing on the Hunter, and took part in a gold rush in north Queensland before opening his butchery at Tumbulgum.
