| Born: 13 November 1810 Oldham, England. Died: 2 October 1884 Glencoe, New South Wales, Australia. | |||
Joseph arrived in Australia aboard the Cadel in 1841 with his wife, Sarah. They arrived in New England in about 1849/50 and by 1856 Joseph was advertising as proprietor of the Crown Inn at Armidale. Joseph and Sarah had 13 children. He is buried in the Church of England section of the Armidale cemetery. [Brief Biography compiled by Robin Hammond, January/February 2004] |
