Grendza-Donskyj, Vasyl (1923 - 1974)

Vasyl Grendza-Donskyj was born in the Carpatho-Ukraine region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and lived there until 1939 when he went into exile. He lived in Czechoslovakia until his death in 1974. A poet and novelist, he contributed to the rebirth of Carpatho-Ukrainian literature. His works were copied from collections held in Czechoslovakia and the United States.
