Australian Institute of Metals (1941 - 1977)

In 1936, the Port Kembla Metallurgical and Engineering Society was formed. This society became a founding branch of the Australian Institute of Metals in 1941. The Institute became the Australasian Institute of Metals in 1977. when a New Zealand branch was formed.
