Dapto Smelting Works (1897 - 1905)

Archival Resources

A substantial lead-zinc smelting works operated on the southern shore of Lake Illawarra at Kanahooka Point between 1897 and 1905. This research collection includes historical and modern references to the works and subsequent development of the site. Compiled by Michael Organ, member of the Illawarra Historical Society and Illawarrra Environmental Heritage Committee.
