Miscellaneous records of the White family. The diary of Henry C. White covers the period 1 April 1861 - 9 February 1863. His portrait is one of a collection of 48 formal portraits of family members. The earliest record in this accession refers to the naval service of Alex Belle Lowe, 8 August 1826. A map (1893) of Samuel Graves Irwin's grant on the Hunter River, together with a copy of the deed, dated 21 January 1839, form part of this accession. A small amount of material including correspondence and birth certificates, relates to the genealogies of the Irvine, Lowe and White families. A memorandum, dated 1958 deals with the origin of the name 'Havilah'.
