Description: | The diaries (45 vols.) which form part of this record group complete the series in accession A181. Thus the diaries of the Rev. Thomas Johnstone cover the period 1858-1909. In addition to the main series of diaries already described, this accession includes nineteen volumes of rough diaries covering all but five years of the period. The record group also includes a journal of receipts and expenditure, 1857-1872; and two notebooks, c. 1862 and 1868-1870. |

Added to this is a photocopy of the Armidale Express, 15 April 1957, reporting the address delivered by Rev. Neil Macleod to mark the centenary of Dr Johnstone's arrival in Armidale. |
