Reference:A0481
Date Range:c. 1880 - 1974
Description:

The center of this collection is the fifty-one diaries of Mrs. Eleanor McIntyre (nee Broun) spanning the years 1910 to 1974. The miscellaneous correspondences, programs, publications and photographs of the Country Women's Association, of which Eleanor McIntyre was a founding member, are also included in this material. The records of Raino station, Tingha, run by Eleanor Macintyre's sister, Catherine Mary Emily Broun, form another part of this collection. This includes the financial records and business correspondences relating to the station in the years 1920 and 1934 to 1968. Please note that the business correspondences of Catherine Broun often merge with family matters in this material. The final element of this collection is the typescript copies of the poetry and prose, written between 1880 and 1890, of Honora Kelly of Bundarrania station. Honora Kelly had close ties with the Broun family, who actually had some connection with the publication of her poems.
