Papers from the office of F.J White.

The records of 'Saumarez' Station, a pastoral property just south of Armidale, and other White Brothers' properties, including 'Aberfoil'. This collection contains the station diaries of F.J. White, for the years 1883-1924, and copies of his personal and business letters from 1905-1912. The 'Saumarez' Station Account Books record financial transactions for the period 1899-1904. The 'Aberfoil' Station Account Books, 1902-1912 complete the collection. (For further station diaries for the years 1910 and 1925-1934 (received in 1983) see A149a and a149b.)

Diaries. This further deposit of station diaries from 'Saumarez', Armidale complements the set of diaries deposited in 1961, (see A149). We now hold an unbroken run of this series for the years 1883 to 1934 inclusive.

White family of Saumarez: 29 photo albums and several loose photographs and copy negs dealing with Saumarez property, livestock and pets, surrounding countryside, Booloominbah Convelescent Hospital, World War I events in Armidale and trips to Europe.
