This series relates mainly to the establishment of railway links in the New England region, including newspaper clippings, maps and plans, brochures, correspondence and reports.

Description:

A very large group of mainly pastoral records relating to the Sinclair family properties 'Waterloo', 'Collymongle', 'Fraser's Creek' and 'Bannockburn'. Some of the earliest records in this accession were created by John Sinclair while working as Agent for the A.M.L & F. Company. Non-pastoral papers include records concerning Ashford coal mine and notebooks of Colin Sinclair (one of John's sons) compiled in connection with the New States Royal Commission (1924-1925) on which he sat. A full list is available for consultation in the UNE Archives.
