Armidale Methodist Church (1859 - 1977)

Location: Armidale, New South Wales, Australia

The first Methodist service in Armidale was held on 28 August 1859. Eventually a new church opened in 1864 and several years later, a parsonage was built to accommodate the Minister. A more spacious church, designed by Evan Evans, opened on 23 July 1893. In 1977, the union of Methodists, Presbyterians, Congregationalists and some Independent affiliations, created the Uniting Church
