Clothing and Allied Trades Union of Australia (1875 - 1975) |

The Federated Clothing Trades of the Commonwealth of Australia Industrial Union of Employees was formed in 1907 to take advantage of the provisions of the newly introduced Commonwealth Arbitration Act. A NSW branch of the Association was formed in May 1917. In 1922 the title was altered to the Federated Clothing and Allied Trades Union. This title was adopted in 1947. |
