Papers photocopy of an agreement regarding terms of employment between the Australian Agricultural Company (on the one hand) and Henry Dangar (on the other), dated London, 21 August 1829; also a letter (of the same date) setting out restrictions on Dangar's conduct with respect to land held by him in the colony of NSW. There is an addendum to the agreement (signed by Parry) abrogating and declaring null and void the terms of the agreement, and releasing Dangar from the conditions and obligations thereof. The release is dated 5 June 1833. (The original document is in A344). A microfilm copy is also available.

Spencer's Journal, 1866-68. Microfilm copies of: (i) Business letterbook of A.A. Dangar, 1878-96 (M37); (ii) A short account of Thomas Spencer's trip to Australia, January 1866 - July 1868. (M38) Albert Augustus Dangar (1840-1913) was born at "Neotsfield" near Singleton, N.S.W., the fourth son of Henry Dangar, surveyor and pastoralist. As a boy he spent 3 years at sea; but in 1858 was placed at "Gostwyck" station, Uralla where he studied stock-breeding. In 1863, he took over the management of "Gostwyck" and other Dangar properties. A.A. Dangar was uniformly successful both as a stockbreeder and as a businessman. He died at Baroona near Singleton, on 5th April, 1913.
