Drummond of Perthshire, Scotland. Drummond entered NSW state politics in 1920 as Member for Northern Tablelands. State member for Armidale (1927-1949), Minister for Education S.W. (1927-1930, 1932-1941). After the Second World War Drummond entered Federal politics and became Member for New England in the Commonwealth parliament (1949-1963).
