Records of the Drummond Memorial Committee detailing its activities from the inauguration of the Memorial Appeal Fund in 1964 to the unveiling ceremony on 6th August, 1966. Includes correspondence, subscription lists, guest lists, copies of speeches made at ceremony and related newspaper cuttings. David Henry Drummond (1890-1965) born Sydney N.S.W. the son of Morris C. Drummond of Perthshire, Scotland. Drummond entered N.S.W. state politics in 1920 as Member for Northern Tablelands. State member for Armidale (1927-49), Minister for Education S.W. (1927-30, 1932-41). After the second world war Drummond entered Federal politics and became Member for New England in the Commonwealth parliament (1949-63).
