Armidale Golf Club (c. 1899 - )

Location: Armidale, New South Wales, Australia

The Armidale Golf Club was established on 23 May 1899. Originally, the course was situated in the centre of Armidale, bordering Dumaresq creek. Due in part several severe floods, an agreement was made with the Armidale Jockey Club to establish a new course at the Armidale racecourse. Club membership grew and demand on the racecourse site increased, the present site was purchased in 1927 for 1,000 pounds. Play commenced on the new course on June 4, 1928
