John Charles Fettiplace Lysaght was born in 1909 the elder son of Rev. John Arthur Constantine Lysaght and Mary Nicholl Lysaght (nee Blandy). He joined the staff of the Lysaght Orb Works at Newport, Wales in 1930 and six years later transferred to John Lysaght (Australia) Limited. From 1947 until his retirement in 1970, J.CF. Lysaght was employed in various capacities at the Port Kembla works having previously been employed by the company at Newcastle. He was elected a director of Lysaght's Works Pty. Limited in 1950. J.D.F. Lysaght was also a directory of Southbank Aviation (1971-1977) and from 1963 - 1968 was active in the affairs of the Wollongong University College. |
