Cousins, Arthur (1866 - ) |

Arthur Cousins was born on 14 January 1866. He was appointed to the Jamberoo Public School in February 1882 as a pupil teacher. Over the following forty-eight years he taught in a number of schools throughout NSW. While stationed at Neutral Bay Public School he studied at the University of Sydney and graduated with first class honours in history. Following his retirement in 1931, he began research for The Garden of NSW, a history of the Illawarra, which was published in 1948. |
