Cochrane, Percival Neville (1907 - )

Percy Cochrane was an educationalist who specialised in education by radio. He pioneered the introduction of dramatisation in school broadcasts and organized the first School of the Air in South Australia. He joined the Administration of Papua New Guinea in 1949 as Senior Broadcasts Officer. As Chief of Division (Broadcasts) he set up and administered six widely scattered radio stations in PNG. He retired in 1967 and returned to Sydney.
