Description:

Contains miscellaneous accounts (1831-1851); a daybook (1838-1862) and a station diary (1878). These relate to the Bettington property 'Brindley Park' in Merriwa. The earlier account book has wages rations and slop accounts; shoemaker's and blacksmith's accounts; wool weights; sheep slaughtered and sheep sent to the Castlereagh and accounts of goods lent to and borrowed from other gentlemen in the colony. It is clear from the records that the property was being worked with the help of a considerable number of assigned servants.
