Born: 26 July 1841 Callala near Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia. Died: c. 1925 Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. | |
A son of William Telfer of the Australian Agricultural Company, William wrote the so-called Wallabadah Manuscript, a story of life in northern New South Wales in the 19th century. He probably spent his working life on stations. He married Anne Plunkett and lived in the Quirindi district for some years. They had four children. Just before World War I he was living at Currabubula, near Tamworth, but then went to join his daughter Mary at Gosford, where he died.
