The first official meeting of the NSW Teachers' Federation was held on 15 March 1919. The Federation arose out of the need for a unified, state-wide organisation for the prosecution of industrial matters. The Federation is primarily concerned with the industrial conditions of teachers employed in schools conducted by the New South Wales state government. |
