Location: Dalwood, New South Wales

This wine-making family was founded by George Wyndham, who arrived in Australia in 1827. He made his home in the Hunter Valley at Dalwood Station (near Branxton), experimenting with various crops before planting a vineyard and becoming a wine-maker. In 1845, he left Dalwood in the hands of a manager, and established two more properties known as Kilgra and Bukkulla. He simultaneously raised cattle and worked a vineyard. George Wyndham died in 1870.
